Classical ballet technique accompanied by an array
of musical genres and fun props! Class begins with a full body warm-up
leading into barre exercises, center combinations, across the floor
progressions and modified choreographies to some of the most famous
ballets. The class structure can be easily modified to suit any
level while still emphasizing basic technique and strengthening
The Dive Barre:
A ballet cocktail
Wednesdays: 7:30-8:30PM (
minimum 3 students to hold class; e-mail to verify)
Come out to the hippest barre in town serving up a healthy mix of
cardio, dance artistry, and one hot-mess of a playlist! You never
know what's 'on tap' but you can rest assured my mystery shooters
won't taste anything like those has-been jello shots!
First we belly up to the barre with a full menu of
invigorating moves ranging from ballet and jazz to modern and flamenco,
and so-on. From there, we imbibe in double-shots of tasty adages
and allegro combinations resulting in intoxicating encounters on
the dance floor.
Woo-hoo!
During last call we 'sober up' with a hearty chaser
of plie au lait leaving the muscles somewhat woozy, and the big
bonus of my Dive Barre is that in case you get pulled over on the
way home, you are guaranteed to pass the breathilizer test!
Whether you prefer straight-up, shaken, blended or on the rocks,
The Dive Barre is suitable for all levels.
