Eclectic Dance Theatre Eclectic Dance Theatre classes present students with an awareness and appreciation of the source of creative movement and guides them to tap into this energy within themselves and move freely from their center. Students learn a variety of styles comprising the contemporary style of eclectic dance including jazz, modern, Isadora Duncan, ballet and a bit of funk. They will learn to execute movement with technical accuracy, proper alignment and lift, to develop muscular strength and agility and much more! In addition, dancers learn to let the music and their own passion guide the movement. Students are given the opportunity to do improvisational dancing and develop their own choreography. Winter performances feature student-choreographed and improvised works. It is amazing how passionately the kids perform, pulling from the depths of their whole selves their true love of dance! Students and adult company perform in a stage production in the Spring!

About Shari
Shari Tranchina has studied ballet with Yuri Smaltzoff in Los Angeles, Isadora Duncan technique with Kathryn Cassis, Gymnastics with Igor Ashkenazi, jazz with William Brown, modern and hip hop. She has performed in plays, musicals, dance showcases and private venues in New Orleans and Los Angeles, and is currently teaching classes and hosting workshops at Studio A Dance in Silver Lake, California. Shari has been teaching kids ages two to eighteen years since the year 2000, and teaches adult classes as well. Every year her students perform in productions in Los Angeles.
