Sarah Marquelle Kruger

A South Texas native with decades worth of dance and teaching experience, Sarah’s first experiences with movement were through the Mexican and Tejano dance cultures that she grew up with, and further encouraged by her maternal grandmother who was a professional Latin-style dancer in Mexico. Sarah trained at Bellas Artes Academy of Dance in Brownsville, Texas under the direction of Juan Jose Burgos, a notable dance artist throughout Mexico. Sarah studied Classical Ballet, Flamenco, Mexican “folklorico” as well as Jazz and Tap. A top student at her academy she was a ballet soloist many times over and was also a member of the school’s prestigious company, Ballet Hispano Americano. Upon graduating high school, Sarah pursued a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Texas at Austin in Radio-Television-Film, after which she moved to LA to pursue a career as a film director, dancer, and choreographer. As a freelance dancer Sarah has performed everything from Classical Ballet to French Cabaret, and has had the privilege of performing all throughout California as well as in Guatemala, and Hawaii. Some notable acts she has danced for include Guns N’ Roses, Joachim Cooder, Alexis de la Rocha, Scout LaRue Willis, Cabaret Versatile, the Late Late Show With James Corden, London Calling: A Punk Musical, and the Macy's Day Parade in New York City to name a few. As a choreographer she has created works for musicals, music videos, and film, working with both the established dancer as well as those with very limited experience.
