Cati-Jean

Cati-Jean hails from Versailles, France, and teaches five weekly classes at the studio that include a floor barre (“barre au sol”), many levels of ballet, and Modern Jazz! Many say that Cati-Jean has a keen eye on body alignment and can assess and help a student find stellar ballet posture with the wave of a hand.

Amanda Killian

Amanda has a grand passion for Ballet — and a love for all critters large and small. Her teaching style reveals as an unlikely coupling of calm demeanor and wild enthusiasm. Dance is her passion (she also taps) and in the studio her class runs like a well-oiled machine— Side Tip: If you are ever playing the game “Trivial Pursuit: Dance,” choose Amanda as your team-mate, and you will win!

Bertha Suarez Blankenship

Originally from Cuba, Bertha danced leading roles in numerous ballets. This friendly soul and nurturing instructor teaches a hybrid class of Pilates Mat and Pre-Pointe, as well as weekday afternoon ballet classes with a focus on Cuban technique, dubbed “Ballet Bravura” (PS Always check Bertha’s page to be sure class is on. We find this busy individual often jeté-ing to and fro)

Desiré Noel DeStefano

Desiré dove into dance as an adult, immediately found the joy — and never looked back. the love for this art of movement is parlayed weekly to her students. Additionally, her curiosity of body mechanics led her to a side career of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy.

 

Helen Nasillski

This Brit who trained at the Royal Academy of London is known around the studio as Ms Helen because she helms the Silver Lake Ballet School for children. By observing her exquisite arabesque demonstration, her students are inspired to work hard, even though her technique tips are presented with soft suggestions.

Wednesday mornings

Rodney Jenkins

Come and witness Jenkins’ fine-tuned expertise delivered with a dose of a casual Texan drawl. Past performance bouts include Jalisco folklorico, flamenco, jazz, Vegas main stages, and featured in prestigious ballet companies. As a result “Jenk” is a pro at partnering and choreography.
